GEORGIE
Georgie is one of the OG dogs in our program and has always been a volunteer favorite. We consider Georgie to be a major success story! When we first started visiting her, she was living outside 24/7. We stopped by every month, giving her family food and supplies - and each time we took the opportunity to educate her owners on why dogs benefit from living outside. It took several months of visiting her, and for her owners to gain our trust, but Georgie started going indoors more and more, until one day she became a completely indoor dog (with the exception of going outside to potty of course.) This is a prime example of why it’s so important to take time for owners to gain our trust and respect. Once we cross that threshold, we usually have a lot of success with transitioning dogs indoors. Georgie is still happy and thriving - living her best life as an indoor dog. She is happy, loving, goofy, and just and all around good girl. We couldn’t be more happy for this sweet girl.
